J&K University students meet Maharashtra Governor

A group of 15 Engineering students and two professors from Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri, J&K interacted with Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhawan on Monday 25 Sep 2017. The students are in Mumbai on a week long Capacity Building Tour, being conducted under Sadbhavana by Indian Army, (Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo)).

The Hon’ble Governor, while interacting with the students urged students children to spread the message of importance of education when they return home. He also emphasized that children should strive to become responsible and good citizens and contribute meaningfully towards the progress of the nation.

Officer-in-Charge of the tour, earlier, giving a brief on the tour,informed the Hon’ble Governor that “Communication and Information Technology theme based tour that aimed at exposing these engineering students to the advancements made by the country in there fields”.

Lt Gen Vishwambhar Singh, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding Maharashtra Goa & Gujrat Area met students in the evening. During the course of tour, they will be taken to various technology giants like Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City, L&T, Reliance Jio & Star TV. They will also visit the premier engineering institute like IIT Mumbai and the group will also visiting various tourist attractions of Mumbai like Gateway of India, Haji Ali Dargah, Film City, CST,  Marine Drive, and a day out at Essel World is also planned from them.
