Madhurika Patkar a Thane resident made Thanekars and India proud. She won a Gold Medal in Women’s Table Tennis trio event in Common Wealth Games held at Gold Coast, Australia. Summan Agrawal, All India Congress Committee member along with other members visited her residence and felicitated her for her great achievement.
Madhurika Patkar is the first woman from India to win Gold in Table Tennis. She made Maharashtra and our country proud by defeating her Singapore counterpart in recently concluded Common Wealth Game.
It may be noted that Madhurika has been playing table tennis since the tender age of 7, at various levels, be it a national or overseas. She has received many National, International awards and medals. Madhurika shared her experiences on being a successful sportswoman. She along with her parents entertained her well wishers and visitors who have visited and congratulated at her residence, with utmost respect and courtesy. Everyone wished her all the best for her future.

I am sure she will further bag many awards from time to time and make country proud. I along with all committee members wish her a all the best in furure”.
