Petrol is cheaper by Rs 4 on Raj Thackeray’s Birthday

Mumbaikar’s were shocked and surprised to receive fuel at a discounted price at select petrol pumps across the city. It was June 14th, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray’s 50th birthday. The party celebrated its chief’s birthday by offering fuel at a discounted price by offering Rs. 4 discount per litre at select petrol pumps across the city. 

Motorists who refuelled their vehicles at the selected petrol pumps got Rs 4 off every litre of petrol they bought. Considering that fuel prices were at a high of Rs 84.25 today, it was a good chance for motorists to fill their tanks and save money at the same time. The news of discount offer was spread like a wild fire and many motorists thronged the petrol pumps. There were serpentine queues on few petrol pumps to get petrol at Rs 4-discount.

At Oshiwara HP Parkar Petrol pump were also benefitted besides Shivaji park.  One could see long queue for filling up the fuel. Sandesh Desai, MNS Versova Vibhag Adhyaksh and Prashant Mane Shakha Adhyaksh organised fuel discount drive at Oshiwara. Sandesh Desai, Prashant Mane and several party workers took active part to manage queue for smooth filling of fuel. Approximately 3500 vehicle owners were benefitted with discount offer bringing temporary pleasant relief to them.

Sandesh Desai, Versova Vibhag Adhyaksh said “On the occasion of Party President Raj Thackeray’s 50th birthday, MNS decided to give relief to commuters by giving them Rs.4 off per litre for today, which was done all across the state. The Government of India is least bothered of common mens plight and showing continuous apathy by not reducing the fuel prices , it is burning a hole into their pocket and monthly budget”.
