Mumbai Customs celebrated International Yoga day

Mumbai Customs celebrated International Yoga day on 21.06.2018 at New Custom House, Ballard Estate with great fervour and enthusiasm. Workshop on Yoga was conducted under the guidance of Ms Samita Mata. The event started with the beginning of prayer followed by Asanas, Pranayama, meditation and drill of the common yoga protocol.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Rajeev Tandon, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Customs Zone-1, S.K Das, Principal Commissioner of Customs(General),  Smt. Prachi Saroop, Commissioner of Customs, (Audit),  Shri Ramesh Chander, Commissioner of Customs-Export-I, New Custom House, & Shri Akhilesh Pandey, Additional Commissioner of Customs (Preventive General), New Custom House.

Ms Mata taught various poses of Yogasana and Pranayam and the same were performed by the officers and staff present during the celebration of International Yoga day in New Custom House. Later in the afternoon, a lecture on the benefits of yoga was also delivered besides drills and breathing practices.
