Chef Dhairyashil Raibagkar has been recently appointed as Executive Chef at The Ambassador hotel Mumbai. He brings with him almost 14 years of experience, joining most recently from his role as executive chef with Searcys at The Z Luxury Residences Mumbai (Formerly known as Oakwood Premier Mumbai). He has worked in some of the finest establishments in India and abroad. He is known for Self-driven with key focus on five essential parameters, Revenue, Cost Control, Guest Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction and the overall vision of the management.
Beginning of journey:
Chef Dhairyashil began his career from Taj President Hotel in Mumbai. He has a vast experience in working in leading hotel brands. Other hotels he has worked for includes, Constance Ephelia Resorts Mahe in Seychelles, The Royal Orchid Malaika Beach Resort Mwanza,Tanzania, Grand Hyatt Mumbai, The Orchid hotel near domestic airport, ITC Fortune Select Exotica Vashi Navi Mumbai.
His new role:
In his new capacity, Chef Dhairyashil will showcase his intensive knowledge on culinary and proficient cooking skill in food preparation. With strong skill in a vast range of international cuisines and kitchen management, Chef Dhairyashil is expected to bring an extraordinary renovation in the hotel’s menu and held various food promotional activities. The Ambassador hotel has well known restaurant namely Society and Flavors, Garden restaurant on top of The Revolving restaurant and in room dining. The revolving restaurant is under renovation. It also has two banquet venues.
Chef Dhairyashil has completed his culinary education from Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology from Bharati Vidhyapeeth Pune. He did his basic schooling from Rajashri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj High school and higher secondary from New College both in Kolhapur. He also completed HACCP certification course from
Constance Hotels & resorts group Seychelles 2010. Besides, he has completed various training programs in relation to time management, team building, staff motivation and customer service.
First timer from family in hospitality industry:
He is first member in his family to join hospitality industry. He felt that the hotel industry is a pretty interesting and pleasant domain to get involved in. As any other job, it has its ups and downs, and that’s the great part of it: there is always place for innovation and there will always be innovators. Cooking was his passion and he always wanted to be a chef. He helped her mother while she was cooking and learnt authentic local cuisine from her in return.
Chef Dhairyashil says “The Ambassador is well known for serving authentic and classic cuisine for last several decades. I am fortunate to be associated with ambassador group of hotel; here I got a chance to explore my culinary journey with better prospects. I am looking forward to applying my years of experience to my new role. My philosophy when it comes to food is uncomplicated. I believe in developing a strong understanding of the ingredients you are working with, using the best seasonal produce and creating simple dishes that people really want to eat.”
