Brand Master Chef Inder Dev who is the in the news for his food creations is no less than a celebrity chef of Gurgaon, who is into brand developing at ITC’s Fortune Select Excalibur. He is the most soundless chef probably I have come across, while he is the most versatile and talented chef in the country. Wherever I have interviewed chefs or general managers of hotels, many of them are mentored by him or they have very high regards for him. This is the greatest respect for any one and he deserves it very well. One of famous spiritual guru has even named him as a human hero in his traveler’s write up.
Chef Dev has got many faces, he does molecular gastronomy cooking, he does new world cooking, and he is into fusion cooking. He is also known as chef with a twist…! His dishes with a twist are extremely popular in masses, young chefs and among professionals.
When asked him why people call you a chef with twist, he says his working with a food scientist, his depth knowledge in medicinal values and his creative mind gave him insight of mixing and matching of ingredients and their best use. He even tells people to what to eat and what not for their better health. He gets lots of queries from people for their well being what food they should eat. No wonder why he says good food makes life beautiful. I recall his menu making art at the oberoi hotels was well recognized.
Chef Dev has become the face of Gurgaon, he is actively involved in the city for corporate, schools, women gatherings or such activities to judge their events. Recently he had organised and judged a cookery contest for house wives which were a big success.
Chef Inder Dev to conceptualize entire food and beverage with ITC Fortune Select Excalibur, launching & running the “ World Art Dining “ gourmet hub in Punjabi Bagh , “World Art Café” in Udyog Vihar Gurugram. “The Brewhouse” – Sports – green concept lounge serving freshly brewed craft beer and the new sensational dining addition with a twist of fusion by unleashing and rediscovering the hidden indian cuisine at “India on My Plate”.
