Mahendra Singh Rathore joins Fairfield Marriott, Sriperumbudur as Head Chef

Chef Mahendra Singh Rathore joins Fairfield Marriott, Sriperumbudur as Head Chef recently. Prior to his new role, he was Executive Chef at Lebua Resort Jaipur. At Fairfield Marriott, Sriperumbudur, Chef Mahendra will oversee the hotel's culinary operations including one multi cuisine restaurant, three banquet halls and room service operations. One more grill restaurant and a bar is slated to be open soon.  

Chef Mahendra is a resourceful team leader who is driven by passion for excellence through developing a clear vision and implementing strategic processes. Progressive and successful track record in achieving high standards in guest satisfaction by leading and developing high performance teams while maximizing productivity and delivering optimal financial results.

Educational Assets:

Born in Indore Madhya Pradesh, he did his basic schooling and higher secondary from Karnataka. Soon after completing his higher secondary he joined Institute of Hotel Management, Catering technology (IHM) Gwalior. One of his uncle who was teaching at IHM Bhubaneshwar, advised him to do hotel management course. He is the first person in his family to pursue career in hospitality sector. When he joined hotel management course, he was whole heartedly supported by his family members to purse education of his choice. Following his footsteps, now many of his family and friends seek advice from him to be a part of hospitality industry.


Beginning of culinary journey:

After completion of his catering education, he joined hotel Jaypee Palace Agra and never looked back. After gaining substantial experience at Jaypee hotels, he moved to Taj Rambagh Palace he enhanced his culinary skills with leading chefs. Thereafter he moved to The Leela Palace Udaipur to gain further experience. After working at The Leela Palace he moved to Tree of life resorts and hotels at Jaipur as executive chef and became Group Execcutive chef over a period of time. Upon his arrival in Jaipur, Mahendra fell in love with Pink City and remained there for several years. Later he joined Lebua Resort in Jaipur. He spent several years working in Jaipur, developing his experience and lifting the culinary standards in Lebua. He was inspired to work at the Fairfield Marriott, Sriperumbudur due to the forward thinking and direction of management ? a place where he would be able to uphold the high culinary standards with the freedom to revolutionise the menus.

When not in the kitchen, chef Mahendra can be found enjoying quality time with his family playing with his twin daughters, watching cricket match, visit road side eateries to enhance his culinary skill. At home he loves cooking for his friends, family and creating new family traditions around the dinner table.
