CG OF FRANCE SONIA BARBRY HOSTS CURTAIN RAISER OF GOUT DE FRANCE

Fifth edition of Gout de France (Good France) was held at the residence of Consul General (CG) of France in Bombay, in association with Atout France. Good France is a global culinary event taking place on every 21st of March worldwide. It is an initiative of three Michelin-starred Chef Alain Ducasse and the ministry of foreign affairs and International Development. The initiative aims to salute the excellence of French cuisine which is globally popular. More than 5000 chefs from 63 countries prepare an evening meal inspired by French cuisine.  

 

It is very poular event in India for the last five years, and it has attracted loyalty amongst foodies. More than 70 restaurants from all over India participated in the event in different cities. Nine Chefs from Mumbai's top 5-star luxury hotels and prominent standalone French restaurants presented their exclusive signature delicacies during the pre-event soiree.

 

Above Eighty special invitees from diffrent field attended the grand soiree at the CG's residence. The lists of guests included prominent personalilties, journalists, bloggers, leading tour operators, influencer and who's who of Mumbai.

·Tiger Prawn Roulade, Lobster Mousseline, Saffron Veloute, Potato and Mushroom Mille Feuille, Crimini Mushroom Ragout, Beet Gel, Curried Cream from The Chambers - Taj Mahal Palace hotel by Chef Rajendra Mahadik.

·Braised Pork Belly with Truffle Mash Potato and Pan Jus from St. Regis Mumbai by Chef Swapnil Salaskar.

·Coq au vin from Peshwa Pavilion- ITC Maratha by Chef Anshul Dhyani.

·Duck confit with roasted baby potatoes and mustard sauce from Artisan - Sofitel Mumbai by Chef Neeraj Rawoot.  

·Camembert cheese with ratatouille with green peas and lemon sponge and kalameta olive dust from Hornby's Pavilion - ITC Grand Central by Chef Aditi Chatterjee.

·Confit of baby lamb leg, shallots & garlic with creamy polenta and asparagus from The Sassy Spoon, Nariman Point by Chef Reem.

·Quiches - Veg & Non-veg from Out of the Blue by Chef Vivek Swamy.  

 

Her Excellency Sonia Barbry, Consul General (CG) of France in Mumbai played perfect hostess and Atout France as excellent partner. Atout France is the France Tourism Development Agency responsible for promoting France as a tourism destination. The guests were given chance to win a package of 3 night / 4-day stay in Northern France for participating in the event. This prize was sponsored by Atout France.
