Nitin Nagrale – Founder and General Secretary HPMF says “It has been a big booom to the hospitality procurement industry. It has provided a common platform for all procurement professionals to share their knowledge with each other. There are many new buyers in the industry, who needs information about new products, their suppliers and distributors. HPMF has helped to bring those changes. The gap between buyers and suppliers is reduced and bridged in proper manner. The buyers and suppliers from around the world would deal with each other without any hassles, as they are recommended by various buyers from the forum”.
Nitin further added “The transparent process of forum has helped in eliminating illegitimate and less trustworthy suppliers, which are filtered by the recommender. The suppliers are also well aware that buyers across industry are connected with each other; hence the buying price also has reduced considerably. People have started looking at procurement as front runner department which was not the case prior to formation of HPMF. Because of the exposure, buyers have also started bringing in new ideas, innovation, new products and substitutes in their day to day life”.
Jaideep Gupta – Advisory Board Member of HPMF said “HPMF is a dream organization, aims to restructure the hospitality procurement department to bring in respect and pride. I am a firm believer of the concept – we cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we created them! Hence HPMF will have a bigger role to undo what’s not required and do what has bigger role to play! This year’s convention will bring in new rules for the procurement professionals”.
