After the thunderous success of the recently released Malayalam film Drishyam 2 (2021), it has emerged that the Hindi version of the film will also get a sequel.
And if reports are to be believed, Ajay Devgn and Tabu are set to reprise their roles from the original again in Drishyam 2.
Kumar Mangat, who produced the Hindi version in 2015, has already bought the remake rights of Drishyam 2, as per reports.
“Ajay and Tabu have agreed in principle to play the leads. The balance cast however is yet to be decided. The paperwork of buying the rights from the original’s producer is almost done,” a source close to the development reveals.
According to reports, the second Hindi part will be based on the Malayalam version which released last week on Amazon Prime Video but with some changes to locations.
The remake is expected to go on the floor later this year and is most likely to release next year.
There is no update on who will direct Drishyam 2 as director Nishikant Kamat, who helmed the first part, is no more.
