Ajay Devgn, who recently started shooting for his next directorial outing Mayday, joins the sets of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-talked-about film Gangubai Kathiawadi today on 27th February.
The film reunites the actor with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali after a long gap of 22 years. The duo last worked together on Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999.
According to reports, the National award-winning actor will be seen in an important role in the film and he will be shooting in Mumbai at a grand set that has been set up there.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is a period drama that stars Alia Bhatt in the titular role. This is the first time when the actress has collaborated with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on a project. Bhansali is one of her most favourite directors.
The big-ticket film is scheduled to release on 30th July.
