With the surge in COVID-19 cases, Mumbai airport has decided to return to last year’s practice and operate flights only out of T2, Sahar.
In light of the latest developments in the ongoing pandemic situation, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has decided to re-consolidate all domestic passenger flights currently operating via Terminal 1.
From April 21, all international, as well as domestic flight operations, will be handled from Terminal 2. Passengers of GoAir, Star Air, Air Asia, TruJet and IndiGo, booked on flights scheduled to depart from T1 in Vile Parle could get in touch with the airlines concerned for further queries, said a Mumbai International Airport Ltd spokesperson.
“During these challenging times, CSMIA has been working closely with its stakeholders and relevant regulatory and government bodies to curb the spread of the virus. The airport is strictly adhering to all guidelines laid down by the Ministry of Civil Aviation as well as the Government of Maharashtra,” CSMIA said in a statement.
