Husqvarna will also launch the E-Pilen electric motorcycle in 2022
Reports released by Pierer Mobility in the past mentioned a new Husqvarna electric scooter was under development and that it was scheduled to hit the market in 2021. However, the latest report suggests that the launch has been delayed. It is expected to make its debut, alongside the Husqvarna E-Pilen electric motorcycle in 2022.
The Husqvarna e-scooter will be powered by a 4kW electric motor, which is around the same figure the Chetak produces and slightly less than that of the Ather 450X. The company has also revealed that it is working on a common EV platform that will be able to accommodate motors ranging between 4kW and 10kW. All the models using this platform are expected to be manufactured by Bajaj at Chakan.
While there are no new images, here’s what we think of the concept image the company revealed in the past. The wheels might not make it to production, but the funky floating front apron will be a unique design element if it does. The chunky side panels follow the theme we’ve seen on the recent Vitpilen and Svartpilen 250 as does the handsome silver colour scheme with hints of neon green. The split seats will also be a unique element on a scooter in India.
