Eknath Shinde Takes Oath as CM, Devendra Fadnavis as Dy. CM

Former Urban Development Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra, while former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of the State on Thursday, 30th June, 2022.

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis at a brief oath taking ceremony held at Raj Bhavan on Thursday evening (7.30 pm). The ceremony began and ended with the National Anthem. Chief Secretary Manukumar Shrivastava invited the designated Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to take oath.

Union Ministers of State Raosaheb Danve, Kapil Patil and Dr Bhagwat Karad, MP Manoj Kotak, former Ministers Chandrakant Patil, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Pankaja Munde, Girish Mahajan, Pravin Darekar, members of State Legislature, senior government officials, family members of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and others were present.
