Rishi Puri, one of the seasoned, hardcore, and most prolific personalities in the hospitality industry has joined Mayfair Hotels & Resorts as Senior Vice President – Operations. A one of the best luxury hotel chains in India with a major presence in the East and gradually growing all over the country. He will lead Mayfair’s Operations all over the country, based at the Corporate Office at Bhubaneshwar.
Prior to joining Mayfair Hotels, Rishi Puri’s last assignment was Senior Vice President – Operations & Development with Lords Hotels and Resorts, which saw him travelling the length and breadth of India and getting on board many new destinations for the discerning guests.
Rishi’s vast experience has seen him representing some of the best hotel chains. His core competencies include overall hotel management, operations & development, including revenue, marketing and sales strategy, and implementation. He is a proven, collaborative leader who works across organizations and builds relationships. Understands the complexities of a multifaceted operation. Experienced and successful in managing a diverse workforce, forming, motivating, and leading high performance teams and building trusted partnerships. Entrepreneurial, inquisitive mind, quick learner and strategic planner with the ability to turn thoughts into action. Specialized in change management and top line & bottom-line revenues management he has been successful in creating better experiences for guests, associates, management and owners.
Career growth: beginning his career with Maurya Sheraton Hotel & Towers in 1992, he climbed up the ladder of success to achieve this position. his vast experience working with leading hotels include Holiday Inn Surat, Usha Ascot Matheran, Saj Resort Mahabaleshwar, Gemini Continental – Lucknow, Lords Park Inn-Surat Vits Hotel (Formerly Lotus Suites) Mumbai, Ramada Powai & The Residence Hotel & Convention Centre Mumbai, Carlson Hotels “Park Plaza, Chandigarh and Lords Hotels and resorts.
Educational assets: Rishi commenced his primary education at St. Anthony’s Convent Allahabad. Thereafter he studied in prominent schools including St. Joseph’s College and Happy Model School. He completed his higher secondary from Spring Dale college. To pursue his dream education in the hospitality industry, he joined the National Councils prestigious Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Lucknow in 1989-92 batch and passed out with flying colours.
