Europe Day Celebration: Maha Governor Presides over the Event

The Council of European Union (EU) Chambers of Commerce in India organised Europe Day celebrations. The event was presided over by the Governor Maharashtra Ramesh Bais in august gathering. The Europe Day celebrations was held at Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai on 25th June, 2024. The EU Chamber was founded in 1992 and promotes trade and economic relations between India and EU countries.

The Governor Ramesh Bais, stated that India’s relations with European Union countries date back to several centuries and are growing stronger day by day. Governor emphasized and called for enhancing inter university collaboration between universities in EU countries and those in Maharashtra. He expressed the need to promote Indology and Sanskrit studies in EU universities.

During the event, Bollywood film Director and Producer Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Addl Chief Secretary Manisha Mhaiskar, President of EU Chambers Piyush Kaushik, Vice President Robin Banerjee, Director Dr Renu Shome and Consuls and trade representatives of various countries were present.
