In a landmark announcement, the celebrated North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja, Mumbai’s oldest and most glamorous Durga Puja celebration, will take place at a new venue this year. From October 9 to 12, 2024, the event will be held at the expansive SNDT Grounds in Juhu, shifting from its long-time location at Tulip Star.

This year’s celebration promises to be an extraordinary experience, with Bollywood stars like Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor expected to join the festivities. The move to SNDT enhances the blend of Bollywood glamour and traditional devotion, creating an immersive atmosphere for devotees and fans alike.

Members of the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Committee remarked, “This significant change honors our rich heritage while embracing a grander vision for the future. Our devotees can expect the same cherished traditions, now in a venue that allows for an even more lavish celebration. The essence of our Puja remains unchanged, but the experience will be bigger, better, and more magnificent.”

As always, the Puja will showcase a beautifully crafted idol of Maa Durga, stunning décor, and sacred rituals such as the Maha Aarti and Pushpanjali. Additionally, this year’s event will feature captivating cultural performances and the beloved Bhog, offering a delightful taste of traditional Bengali cuisine.
