Yoga Guru Ravi Mohan Dixit Honored by Rotary Club of Thane Downtown for Vocational Excellence

In keeping with its tradition of recognizing extraordinary individuals across various fields, the Rotary Club of Thane Downtown honored Ravi Mohan Dixit with the prestigious Vocational Excellence Award on Sunday, January 5th, 2025. This recognition celebrated his 43-year legacy and his monumental contributions to yoga education, health, and wellness. Through his tireless efforts, Shri Dixit’s influence has expanded far beyond India, impacting countless lives around the world.

Currently, Ravi Mohan Dixit holds several distinguished positions that reinforce his stature as a trailblazer in yoga and wellness. As Honorary Director at both Yogic Gurukul and Shiv Holistic Yoga, he imparts his extensive knowledge to eager learners. Furthermore, he serves as the Strategic Advisor to Madhavbaug Ayurveda HeartCare Hospitals & Clinics, where his expertise in holistic health plays a crucial role in shaping the organization’s vision. Shri Dixit is also an Honorary Yoga Therapist to the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, a position that highlights his profound impact on the wellness community and public service.

His teachings have reached a wide array of influential individuals, including Union Ministers, Former Chief Ministers, actors, top business leaders, and senior officials like IAS and IPS officers. This impressive roster of students reflects his outstanding reputation and the trust he has earned from some of India’s most prominent figures. Through his ongoing dedication, Shri Dixit continues to touch the lives of many, guiding them toward better health, peace, and spiritual growth.

A seasoned globetrotter and renowned yoga master, Ravi Mohan Dixit has taught yoga not only throughout India but also in countries like Indonesia, the USA, Canada, the UK, and Singapore. With more than 5 lakh teaching hours and over 10 lakh students mentored in his career, he has made a profound impact on the global yoga community. Rather than keeping his knowledge to himself, he has chosen to share it through writing. In his career, he authored four influential books: New Horizons (1 & 2), Yoga for Seniors, and Yoga as Therapy. These publications have served as invaluable resources for countless yoga learners, expanding their understanding of the practice.

Dixit’s journey to yoga was born from personal adversity. His ill health led him to discover the transformative power of yoga, and after spending a year at Kaivalyadhama Lonavala, he emerged a changed person. Driven by the desire to share the life-altering benefits of yoga, he committed to spreading this wisdom globally. Today, Ravi Mohan Dixit is a beacon of holistic wellness, mentoring and inspiring people from all walks of life to embrace yoga’s transformative power.
