The parade, which saw enthusiastic participation from hundreds of youth, armed forces personnel, and citizens, featured war veterans marching towards Marine Drive. The air was filled with chants of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jay’ as the veterans made their way down the iconic stretch.
Organized by the Navy Foundation, Mumbai Chapter, in collaboration with the Headquarters of the Western Naval Command, the event saw over 500 veterans, some in wheelchairs, along with gallantry awardees and retired senior officers, marching in their ceremonial dress adorned with caps and medals.
Key dignitaries present at the event included Vice Admiral Sanjay Jasjit Singh, AVSM, NM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, and Commander Vijay Vadhera, GOC-in-C and President of the Navy Foundation Mumbai Chapter.
