The second customized training program for Sri Lankan civil service officers under the NCGG-SLIDA MoU was held from May 26 to June 6, 2025.

A total of 40 officers participated in the program aimed at enhancing public administration through digital governance and innovation.

The MoU, signed during Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayaka’s State Visit to India in December 2024, targets training 1,500 Sri Lankan officers over five years.

The program covered digital service delivery, public grievance redressal, financial inclusion, and e-governance tools like Aadhaar, GeM, and PFMS.

Field visits included institutions such as LBSNAA, Election Commission, Gati Shakti Anubhuti Kendra, NeGD, and land records centers in Uttarakhand. A cultural visit to the Taj Mahal concluded the session.

During his April 2025 visit to Sri Lanka, the Indian Prime Minister announced 700 additional annual training slots for Sri Lankan professionals, increasing India’s annual training capacity for Sri Lanka to 1,000.
