Union Minister for Chemicals and Petrochemicals J. P. Nadda on Monday paid a courtesy visit to Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.

During their interaction, the two leaders discussed issues related to public welfare, development, and cooperative federalism, highlighting the shared commitment of the Centre and the state to people-centric governance.

Marking the festive occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Minister Nadda, along with Governor Radhakrishnan, offered prayers at the Ganesh idol installed at Raj Bhavan. The darshan underscored the cultural and spiritual significance of the festival, celebrated with devotion at the Governor’s residence, which has become a focal point for dignitaries and visitors during the festivities.

Following the darshan, the Minister and the Governor toured Krantigatha, the underground Bunker Museum at Raj Bhavan dedicated to India’s freedom struggle. The museum, which narrates the story of the nation’s revolutionaries through rare photographs, artifacts, and multimedia exhibits, left a deep impression on the visiting dignitary.

The visit seamlessly blended tradition with history—offering spiritual reflection through Ganesh darshan and a solemn reminder of the sacrifices of freedom fighters. Raj Bhavan officials noted that such engagements by national leaders not only enrich cultural and historical appreciation but also reaffirm the significance of Maharashtra’s heritage landmarks.

The Minister’s visit was described as a meaningful gesture that celebrated faith, acknowledged history, and reinforced the importance of connecting governance with cultural roots.
