The Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum (HPMF) has announced that its Annual Convention and Awards will now be held from January 15–18, 2026, at Hotel Radisson Blu, Amritsar. The decision follows the devastating floods across Punjab and other parts of India, which have disrupted lives, livelihoods, and business operations. Dr. Nitin Shankar Nagrale, Founder & General Secretary of HPMF, said, “Empathy and responsibility are at the heart of HPMF. Rescheduling reflects our commitment to stand with affected communities while ensuring a stronger, more inclusive, and impactful convention.”
Extensive consultations with sponsors, partners, and stakeholders informed this decision. “As an industry built on solidarity and care, it was essential to adapt thoughtfully to the circumstances affecting our fraternity. The new dates will allow for stronger sponsorship participation, broader delegate engagement, and the opportunity to integrate meaningful support initiatives for affected regions,” added Dr. Nagrale.
The rescheduling also provides HPMF and its partners the time to rebuild a sustainable sponsorship base, facilitate wider delegate participation from across India and overseas, and align the event with initiatives supporting recovery efforts in flood-hit areas, particularly Punjab. In addition, HPMF has launched programs in collaboration with local partners to contribute to community recovery and sustainable rebuilding.
Basil Massey, Convenor of the HPMF Convention, said, “Our priority is compassion and collective strength. The additional time allows us to plan more effectively, include more voices, and ensure the convention embodies unity and progress.” Mr. Mohan Deshpande, Chairman of HPMF, added, “Rescheduling reaffirms our commitment to members, sponsors, and partners, while extending solidarity to those affected by the floods. The 2026 convention will celebrate recovery, renewal, and fraternity.”
Dr. Nagrale concluded, “The spirit of our fraternity remains unshaken. This pause will help us return with renewed purpose, deeper connections, and greater impact when we convene in January 2026.” HPMF thanked its sponsors, members, and supporters for their continued trust and looks forward to welcoming all to a stronger, meaningful convention in Amritsar.
