The World Trade Center Mumbai (WTC Mumbai), in association with the All India Association of Industries (AIAI), hosted a vibrant Diplomatic Diwali Celebration, bringing together diplomats, government officials, and business leaders from over 40 countries. The event, adorned with traditional décor, music, and cultural performances, celebrated Diwali’s universal message of light, harmony, and unity.
Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis, renowned banker, social activist, and artist, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In her address, she described Diwali as “the festival of lights that transcends boundaries and unites hearts.” She noted that the celebration mirrors the spirit of diplomacy — building bridges and strengthening relations for collective growth. Extending warm Diwali wishes, Mrs. Fadnavis captivated the audience with a melodious song performance and emphasized the need to support social causes and community welfare.
The event was also attended by Shri Jayakumar Rawal, Honourable Minister of Protocol and Marketing, Government of Maharashtra, and Mrs. Subhadra Kumari Rawal as Guests of Honour. Shri Rawal highlighted Diwali’s timeless message of dispelling darkness and promoting togetherness. “The lamps of Diwali unite without boundaries and illuminate without bias,” he said, urging continued collaboration between nations for shared prosperity. Mrs. Rawal described Diwali as a festival of joy, hope, and harmony that strengthens human connections.
Dr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman of WTC Mumbai and President of AIAI, extended gratitude to the dignitaries and diplomats, emphasizing that Diwali represents India’s rich cultural heritage and universal values of peace and inclusivity. He reaffirmed WTC Mumbai’s commitment to fostering international goodwill and promoting global business ties.
The evening concluded with cultural performances and festive camaraderie, symbolizing how Diwali transcends borders — uniting the world in light and goodwill.
