High-profile hospitality stalwart Neha Chhabra has joined Sofitel Mumbai BKC as its new General Manager, marking a significant leadership addition to the luxury hotel’s executive team. In her new role, Neha will oversee overall operations and strategic direction, with a mandate to elevate guest experience, drive sustainable growth and nurture a culture of creativity, innovation and excellence.
With more than two decades of experience across luxury and business hospitality, Neha brings a nuanced understanding of operations, brand standards and guest engagement—attributes that align seamlessly with Sofitel’s distinctive French zest and Art de Vivre. A seasoned hotelier, she has helmed several marquee properties across India. Most recently, she served as General Manager at JW Marriott Goa, where she played a pivotal role in positioning the property as one of North Goa’s leading luxury destinations. Prior to this, she led Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal, guiding the team with agility through the pandemic and steering the hotel to strong operational and financial performance.
Her career includes leadership roles at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, The Trident Bandra Kurla and The Oberoi New Delhi, experiences that strengthened her expertise in refining service delivery and enhancing guest satisfaction across diverse luxury environments. Neha’s academic foundation is rooted in two of India’s most respected institutions—La Martiniere for Girls, Kolkata, and The Oberoi Centre for Learning and Development—shaping her into a disciplined, people-centric and excellence-driven leader.
Over the years, Neha has garnered several prestigious recognitions, including Goa’s Best General Manager 2024 (CMO Asia), Leadership Excellence 2022 (APEC GM Awards), and Diamond General Manager of the Year 2021–22 (Courtyard Global). She has also been acknowledged among the Most Fabulous Women Leaders in Hospitality, underscoring her rising influence in the sector. Her ascent within India’s luxury hospitality landscape mirrors the broader momentum of women empowerment shaping leadership roles across the industry.
At Sofitel Mumbai BKC, Neha is set to focus on elevating guest experiences, expanding the hotel’s F&B offerings, strengthening brand positioning and driving innovative hospitality initiatives aligned with Accor’s global standards. Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, she emphasised her commitment to creating memorable guest journeys while fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Her appointment is expected to further reinforce Sofitel Mumbai BKC’s position as one of the city’s leading luxury destinations, with her leadership anticipated to bring renewed dynamism and strategic direction to the property.
