The Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum (HPMF) celebrated its 15th Foundation Day on 26 November 2025, marking a significant milestone in its journey of contribution to the hospitality procurement sector. Established in 2010, HPMF has grown into one of the most influential procurement communities, with a strong presence across India as well as in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions. Over the past 15 years, the organisation has played a vital role in knowledge sharing, capacity building, ethical sourcing, sustainability promotion, and supplier empowerment.

HPMF has also actively supported major national initiatives such as Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Skill India, Digital India, and Swachh Bharat. Through its efforts, the Forum has encouraged the procurement of Indian-manufactured products, empowered MSMEs, promoted digital procurement practices, and advocated for environmentally conscious sourcing and waste reduction.

In its 15-year journey, HPMF has achieved several milestones, including the successful organisation of 12 National Conventions across leading Indian cities, the development of strong industry partnerships, training programmes, and consistent support for local manufacturers, startups, and suppliers. The organisation has played a key role in elevating procurement standards within the hospitality sector.

Moving forward with a long-term strategic vision, HPMF has launched the ambitious “100 Activities in 1000 Days” project. This initiative will focus on capability-building programmes, standardisation frameworks, supplier development, sustainability initiatives, digital transformation guidelines, and youth skill development—all aimed at creating a stronger and more future-ready procurement ecosystem.

HPMF Chairman Mohan Deshpande described the organisation’s 15-year journey as one defined by collaboration, ethics, and progress. Vice Chairman Dr. Sanjay Goyal highlighted HPMF’s contribution in transforming procurement into a knowledge-driven, technology-enabled, and sustainability-focused discipline. Founder and General Secretary Dr. Nitin Nagrale noted that HPMF has succeeded in giving the procurement profession a new identity, respect, and global recognition.

Expressing gratitude to all members, partners, and industry supporters, HPMF reaffirmed its commitment to driving innovation, excellence, and sustainability in hospitality procurement in the years ahead.
