A seasoned chef, Sanket Satare has joined Marriott Navi Mumbai as its new Executive Chef, bringing over 16 years of progressive culinary experience from India’s leading luxury hotels. A hardcore Mumbaikar, born and raised in Mumbai, Satare studied at Victoria High School, Mahim, before joining Mithibai College and later earning a Bachelor’s in Hotel Management & Catering Operations from Rizvi College, following his long-held ambition to join the hospitality industry. Inspired by his role model, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, he dreamed of carving a successful path in the culinary world.
Prior to this appointment, Satare served as Executive Sous Chef at JW Marriott Juhu under Culinary Director Gaurav Malhotra, where he honed his expertise in multi-outlet kitchen management, menu engineering, large-scale banquets, and pre-opening restaurant projects. He has successfully led teams of 40–60 culinary professionals, crafted innovative Punjabi, Parsi, Goan, and regional menus, and consistently enhanced guest dining experiences.
On his appointment, Satare said, “I am delighted to join Marriott Navi Mumbai as Executive Chef. After my tenure as Executive Sous Chef at JW Marriott Juhu, I look forward to leading a talented culinary team here, creating innovative menus, and delivering exceptional dining experiences that reflect both tradition and creativity.”
A Gold Medalist at the Great Indian Culinary Challenge, Satare is known for his operational excellence, strategic cost management, HACCP and FOSTAC compliance, and mentoring high-performance teams. Fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Konkani, he combines creativity, discipline, and a passion for gastronomy to elevate the culinary offerings at Marriott Navi Mumbai.
