Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari hosted the traditional Republic Day Reception on the occasion of the
70 th anniversary of the Republic Day at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Sunday, 26 th January, 2020. The Reception is known as ‘At
Home’. The Governor met invitees and exchanged Republic Day greetings to all those who attended the event.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, his spouse Rashmi Thackeray, former CM Devendra Fadnavis, former UP Governor Ram
Naik attended the celebration. Other Ministers and dignitaries and minister included Subhash Desai, Aslam Shaikh, Nawab
Malik and Aaditya Thackeray.

Mayor of Mumbai Kishoree Pednekar, several people’s representatives, captains of Industry included Rajashree Birla, Ashok
Hinduja and Niranjan Hiranandani. Consul General and prominent diplomats from various countries also attended the event.
Maharashtra Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta, Director General of Police Subodh Jaiswal, Commanding Officer Western Naval
Command, Archbishop of Mumbai and invitees from various walks of life were present.
The Reception, known as ‘At Home’ started and concluded with the rendition of National Anthem by the police band.
