Wherever there is a Shiv Sena Shakha (Branch) there would be a dispensary “Jithe Shakha Tithe Dawakhana”, which is a unique initiative to prevent the spread of corona. Gajanan Kirtikar, Shivsena Member of parliament inaugurated Shakha Dispensary at Shivsena Shakha No.59, located at Versova in Andheri west area. There was a large gathering to see the inauguration event with proper social distancing and faces covered with masks. The inauguration event was organized in collaboration with local Municipal Corporator Pratima Khopade and Shakha Pramukh Satish Parab.

Gajanan Kirtikar, Shivsena Member of parliament said “The main objective of opening dispensaries is to provide basic medical facilities to local residents. This initiative is a boon for the local residents who can come to shakha in specified time. In certain areas there are many doctors who have kept their clinics shut despite government directives. This is a dream project of Maharashtra CM Uddhavji Thackeray. We are planning to open up shakha clinics in every shakha so locals can be benefitted within their own areas”.

Kirtikar adds, “The union government has installed the MPLAD fund but the government of Maharashtra under the leadership of CM Thackeray has allocated Rs. 20 lakhs for MLA’s and Rs. 10lakh for corporators. This fund can be utilized for the purpose of Covid treatment and other contingency purposes in their respected areas. Also, we have recently distributed rations, sanitizers, masks to more than 8000 poor and needy families from our own resources. Kirtikar further added
