Tata has launched the new 2021 Safari in India with prices starting from ₹14.69 lakh and going up to ₹21.45 lakh. It is based on the Harrier but gets several distinctive elements including three-row seating, more features, and bigger dimensions. It also comes in the Adventure variant which just gets some cosmetic differences.

The Safari comes in six variants: XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ, and XZ+. While the 7-seater configuration is available with all the variants, the 6-seating option comes only with the top-spec variant. All the variants demand around ₹70,000 to ₹80,000 over the corresponding variants of the Harrier.

The second-generation Tata Safari looks like the Gravitas concept, except for a few differences here and there. The list includes a new grille with the signature Tata tri-arrow motif in chrome, split headlamp system, panoramic sunroof, etc.

Now, since the new SUV in India is based on the Harrier, it indeed looks quite a bit like the latter but only till the C-pillar, from where the SUV features a distinctive design. The differences include a stepped roof, pronounced wheel arches, and a chiselled tailgate.

Tata Motors has also introduced Safari Adventure edition in a special Tropical Mist colour scheme. This model gets piano black and granite black finishes on the exterior, charcoal grey machined alloys, earthy brown interior with dark chrome, and piano black accents.
