The teaser of John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi’s much-anticipated film Mumbai Saga dropped on the Internet on Wednesday and received thunderous response from the audience.
The teaser shows Abraham in the role of a deadly gangster named Amartya Rao, who wants to dominate the Bombay underworld in the 80s and the 90s before the city was renamed to Mumbai.
Hashmi, on the other hand, plays the character of a no-nonsense cop, who is ready to go to any length to destroy Amartya’s reign in the city of Bombay and make it violence-free.
Directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by Bhushan and Krishan Kumar, Mumbai Saga also features Sunil Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal Mahesh Manjrekar, Gulshan Grover, Amole Gupte, Rohit Roy, and Prateik Babbar on its ensemble cast.
The film marks John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi’s first project together. The film was earlier scheduled to release in June last year but its shooting schedule got postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The stars resumed the shoot in Ramoji Film City in compliance with the guidelines given by the Producers Guild Of India in July last year and completed it in 12 days.
Mumbai Saga is scheduled to hit screens on March 19, 2021.
