A major fire broke out at a plastic factory in Thane’s Asangaon area in the wee hours on Tuesday. No one has been injured in the incident.
According to preliminary information, the incident took place at Krishna Promotion Company near Padgha village.
As soon as the officials were alerted about the blaze, 12 fine engines rushed to the spot.
Thane Municipal Corporation’s Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) chief, Santosh Kadam, said that efforts are on to douse the fire.
Around 10 am, a jumbo water tanker was also rushed to the spot.
Kadam added that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. More details awaited.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a fire broke out in an electricity meter box room of a housing complex in Thane city on Tuesday morning.
At least 32 electric meters were completely destroyed in the blaze. Fortunately, no person was injured.
