Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray on Tuesday addressed a press conference from his residence Krishna Kunj and commented on various issues gripping the state.
The MNS chief revealed what he discussed with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday.
“Yesterday, I had called Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and requested him to meet me regarding imposing lockdown restrictions but many people around him are coronavirus positive so he too has been quarantined. So, we discussed various topics and issues in a virtual meeting,” Raj Thackeray said.
One of the most important issues discussed during the meeting was regarding the board exams. Raj Thackeray noted that class 10 and class 12 students should be promoted without examinations. “We have no clue about the mental trauma these kids are facing during this pandemic. Just like other students, class 10 and 12 students should also be promoted,” he added.
Thackeray also suggested on improving health infrastructure. “Despite the availability of space in many hospitals, COVID-19 patients are not getting beds. At such a time, the government should adopt a strict policy. Patients need to get beds,” Raj Thackeray said.
