Cigarettes to Consumer Goods Company and one of the India’s hospitality giant ITC limited has taken a commendable step in the interest of the nation. The ITC Limited has tied up with Linde India Ltd. to airfreight 24 cryogenic ISO containers from Asian countries. This is one more characteristic step to serve people of the nation in this Pandemic time.
This noble initiative has been taken to serve the national priority in easing the bottleneck of medical oxygen supply to hospitals. ITC’s initiative comes in the wake of an acute shortage of medical oxygen across the country, constraining the healthcare system’s ability to provide necessary medical care to Covid patients.
In addition, ITC is airlifting large numbers of oxygen concentrators. Its Paper unit in Bhadrachalam has commenced supply of oxygen to neighbouring areas. ITC is committed to support the Government in its fight against the debilitating pandemic and will continue to explore other avenues to help address the challenges emerging during these trying times.
