In a shocking incident, a man allegedly barged into Marathi actress Sonalee Kulkarni’s residence in Pune on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old even had a knife and a toy gun with him, and when the actress’ father tried to catch hold of him, he sustained an injury from the knife as well.
The incident took place at Kulkarni’s Pimpri Chinchwad residence.
The accused has been detained by the police, who suspect him to be a fan of the actress. However, a probe has been launched to ascertain the real motive behind the trespassing.
According to the Pimpri-Chinchwad police, it happened on Tuesday morning, when the man climbed into the terrace of Kulkarni’s apartment.
“When the family’s maid spotted him, he told her that he wanted a place to hide and that the police were after him,” cops said.
However, when the actress’ father Manohar Kulkarni tried to nab him, it resulted in a scuffle and the man fled from the terrace. But until then, surrounding residents had gathered at the spot due to the commotion, and they caught him and handed him over to the police.
Sonalee is currently in Dubai with her husband Kunal Benodekar. The family said that they will help the police in the investigation in whatever manner needed.
