Mumbai City records 831 new Covid-19 cases; Maharashtra revises Covid treatment rates

Mumbai on Tuesday recorded 831 new COVID-19 cases and also added 23 fatalities, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.

The city’s caseload rose to 7,07,082, while the fatality count increased to 14,907. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray welcomed the Centre’s decision to cancel the CBSE Class 12 board exams this year amid the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic across the country.

Maharashtra on Tuesday recorded 14,123 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest since March 10, and 477 fresh deaths. The state’s caseload rose to 57,61,015, while the fatality count increased to 96,198. Read all updates from in and around Mumbai here
