Well experienced Chef Rohit Chadha has recently joined as Chef de Cuisine at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu’s prominent restaurant Dashanzi. It is the award-winning progressive, most sought after modern Asian restaurant at the luxurious urban resort property.
The young, dynamic chef Rohit, is all set to elevate the dining experience at Dashanzi with a new thoughtfully curated food menu that celebrates the rich flavours of the Orient. Chef Rohit comes with a rich knowledge spanning over a decade that has empowered him with immense knowledge and a deep understanding of the finer nuances of Asian cuisine.
The spirited Chef has worked alongside 3-time Michelin Star Chef Allen Passard, which could be counted amongst his most memorable learning experiences. He has also worked closely with industry stalwart Chef Hemant Oberoi and also curated sit-down dinners for the French and Belgium consulates in the past.
In 2019, Chef Rohit was amongst the Top 10 leading Chefs in the country selected for the “Himalayan Raw and Fine Journey” contest hosted by a leading travel magazine, to visit Japan.
Driven by his passion for culinary innovation and commitment to excellence, Chef Rohit is excited to be helming the kitchen at Dashanzi and looks forward to presenting a stellar line up of Asian delicacies which spell ‘art on a plate’, true to the restaurant’s philosophy. The dishes include Smoked Sichuan Spiced Lamb Chops, Poached Chicken Dumpling, Chicken and Quail Egg Suimai, Steamed Chilean Sea Bass Sizzled Ginger Soy, Crispy Taro with Silken Tofu and more.
Educational Assets: Chef Rohit has completed his higher secondary education from Mumbai’s prestigious R D National College at Bandra and hotel management Degree from Prestigious IHM Mumbai, 2008-2011 batch, under the stalwart educationist Principal Raj Kumar Saxena and high profile food production Chef Vernon Coelho. Rohit is well versed and fluent in English, French, Hindi and Marathi languages.
While studying, he was actively involved in numerous social activities which made him popular in his institutions. While in IHM Mumbai, he was an active ROTARACTOR carrying out projects of mass appeal like the I-VOTE and other projects like CLEANLINESS DRIVE, DEBATES, and QUIZZES etc for school children. He worked as a Professional Development Director for Rotaract Club of Dahisar Coast for two years. He participated in various QUIZZES representing school, Junior college and club and Directing dramas and Acting in the same.While in R D National College Worked as a Campus Reporter for 93.5 RED FM.
