New hospitality hub at Turner Rd, Bandra: Introducing Taj

Queen of Mumbai suburb Bandra will get a new Taj hotel at Turner Road.  Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) announced the signing of a hotel in Bandra, Mumbai. The Brownfield project will be branded an IHCL-SeleQtions hotel.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL Commenting on the signing, said, “This signing is in line with IHCL’s vision of expanding its presence in important micro markets in major cosmopolitan cities. ‘Queen of Suburbs’ Bandra, home to celebrities, is also famous for its shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and heritage sites. It is adjacent to the leading commercial hub of Bandra Kurla Complex. This will be the second IHCL- SeleQtions branded hotel in Mumbai. We are delighted to partner with Polson Ltd for this hotel.’’

The 43-room hotel with an all-day diner, is strategically located on Turner Road, one of Bandra’s most upscale neighbourhoods. Spread over the third to the 14th floor, it is part of a mixed-use development with high-end retail and restaurants.

Mumbai, the capital of the state of Maharashtra, is also the financial and entertainment capital of India. With the addition of this, IHCL has 33 hotels across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands in Maharashtra including 11 under development.
