KALYAN: In the Dombivli minor girl rape case, 22 accused were remanded to jail custody by Kalyan session court on Monday.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing case on Monday produced the accused before Kalyan session court demanding for extension of accused custody for two more days saying they require to probe accused further by taking them to crime spots.
However, lawyers representing arrested accused opposed SIT’s demand of further custody saying SIT is doing slow investigation.
After argument, judge denied SIT’s demand for further custody and remanded them into jail custody.
The minor girl studying in ninth standard was raped on several occasions by different people at different locations between January 29 to September 22.
One of the accused had raped her in January and made a video, which was used to blackmail her into having sex with his friends.
