Novotel hotel Juhu’s most sought-after Chinese restaurant Sampan, among food aficionados for authentic Chinese food has reopened its doors. Master Chef Pempa and his team have curated your favourite Chinese dishes to savour. The restaurant, an epitome of lavishness and quality service, has held its footing in the foodscape of the city for years combines fine dining with the best of Chinese flavors.  It was my wife’s birthday and she was keen to try out Chinese delicacies, so without giving a second thought I dashed to Sampan. Instead of choosing my own dishes, I preferred to meet Chef Pempa and design a good meal for us. As I know Chef Pempa for decades, I was in the right hand and right place. As usual, chef, Pempa was on right track and offered us a good combination of dishes that included Kung pao potatoes, chilly paneer, chachu prawns, chili pepper chicken. And of course, everyone’s all-time favourite Vegetarian Pot rice. As I have a sweet tooth, I ordered Honey Noodles with Vanilla Ice cream and a steaming hot chocolate brownie. I was happy that it has superb consistency for authenticity and perfect taste.
