A hardcore Mumbai boy from Bandra and acclaimed creative chef Siddarth Noronha has been recently appointed as Executive Chef of Sofitel Mumbai BKC, the flagship property in India, a luxury brand of Accor group. Prior to his appointment at Sofitel, he worked for Grand Hyatt Mumbai. Chef Siddharth brings with him more than one and half decades of experience, Siddarth counts his depth and profound understanding of cooking as a major asset.
Chef Siddharth is a passionate and highly experienced culinary professional with proven success in spearheading events in a banquet, fine dining, and multiple catering settings. Recognized for successful hands-on management approach, collaboration across multiple restaurants within hotel fine dining, a customer-service focus, and creating a positive culture for excellent service.
In his new role, Chef Siddarth will oversee the entire functioning of Sofitel Mumbai BKC’s four food and beverage outlets including the award-winning restaurants of Pondichéry Café – All-day Dining, Jyran – Tandoor Dining & Lounge, Tuskers – Vegetarian Dining & Bar and Artisan – Bar & Garden Lounge. This Bandra boy has set himself apart in the busy Mumbai dining scene with his visionary approach to pairing ingredients and creative food presentations.
In his career spanning more than 16 years, Chef Siddarth has earlier worked with leading brands such as Hyatt and Novotel, in addition to a Culinary Art Master Class with Alain Ducasse. He completed his basic schooling at Sacred Heart Boys High School at Santacruz, Mumbai, and moved to complete his higher secondary from Sanjeevan Vidyalaya at Panchgani in Mahabaleshwar. As he was determined to choose his career in culinary, he joined Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology from Rizvi College, and never looked back thereafter climbing the ladder of success. He finds it exhilarating to bring people together through food, by creating unique and memorable dining experiences for guests.
Chef Siddarth is a second-generation hotelier in his family, his father Edwin Noronha was also in the hospitality industry and worked for the famous old hotel Natraj at Marine Drive owned by Graviss hospitality, which is currently known as Intercontinental Marine Drive.
