The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari released a Special Postage Cover commemorating the 75 years of Banga Maitri Sansad, a socio-cultural organisation from the city at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on 9th May 2022.
The Special Cover brought out by the Department of Posts was released on the occasion of the 161st birth anniversary of Kaviguru and Nobel laureate Ravindranath Tagore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor was all of praise for the contribution of Bengal in the literature and culture of the nation. He said the nation is grateful to Bengal for giving it the national anthem and ‘Vande Mataram’.
