The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Lifetime Achievement Award for 2022 to the Buddhist Seer and the 13th Sangha Raja of Supreme Sangha Council of Bangladesh Dr Jnananshree Mahathera at Raj Bhavan Mumbai.
The award was presented to Dr Mahathera for his work of revival of Theravada Buddhism in Bengal dialect.
Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale, Sadhanananda Thero, Ravi Garud, Ghanashyam Chirankar, PRO Hemant Ranpise and Asia Continent Coordinator Rajendra Jadhav were present.
