The event featured over 26 Italian companies from various sectors
Keeping Indo Italian relations ahead, The Embassy of Italy in Delhi and the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( IICCI) organised an Italian day Tech in India exhibition. The three-day event was organised in association with Invest India and with the support of Axis Bank. The show was organised within the framework of the Italian institutional delegation to India on the occasion of the G20, which was concluded on 5th March, 2023.
The exhibition was inaugurated on 2nd March 2023 by Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon.le Antonio Tajani, and India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, and Textiles, Shri Piyush Goyal, along with Ambassador of Italy in India, H.E. Vincenzo de Luca, IICCI President Amit Roy and CEO & Secretary General Claudio Maffioletti.
The primary objective of the event was to highlight the significant contribution of Italian know-how to India’s technological growth, including, investment, job creation, innovation, technological advancements and skill development. It also fosters greater cooperation between the two countries in the manufacturing sector, providing Italian companies with an opportunity to showcase their capabilities and Indian companies to explore potential collaborations and partnership.
Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon le Antonio Tajani said “Our relationship with India is political. Today’s meetings mark a new era of Indo-Italian relations and the beginning of a renewed strategy for a stronger cooperation between Italy and India, to better support Italian big, medium and small sized companies to expand in the Indian market”.
Piyush Goyal, Minister of Textiles, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public said “In few months, the 650+ Italian companies already present in India will become 1000. India is today the country offering the best business opportunities in the world. The announcements made today by our Prime Ministers are clear signals of a promising and constructive future”.
