The Telangana State Formation Day was celebrated in Maharashtra Raj Bhavan for the first time. It was organised as part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative of Government of India. The event was held on June 2nd, 2023 at Mumbai Raj Bhavan.

The Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais witnessed a programme showcasing the cultural traditions of Telangana and addressed the invitees.
Under the cultural programme Dance troupes from Telangana presented ‘Jaya Jaya hey Telangana’, ‘Bathukamma’, ‘Bonalu’ and ‘Oggu Dolu’ dance on the occasion.
One of the popular Bollywood film stars Harish Kumar also attended the event. There were other guests including Srinivas Sulge, Ashok Kante, Pottu Rajaram and a large number of people of Telangana origin were present.
The cultural programme was organised in association with the Government of Telangana.
