Journalist Sitaram Mewati felicitated with Dr. Ambedkar National Award on Constitution Day

Senior journalist and Editor in Chief of Mumbai Messenger Newspaper, Sitaram Mewati was honoured with the Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar National Award organised by the 5 S Foundation on Indian Constitution Day 26 November 2023, during its first anniversary. The Award ceremony was held at New Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi.

This award was given to him for his remarkable work in the field of journalism. Many people who had accomplished special achievements in various fields were also felicitated in this program. Besides, numerous meritorious students were also awarded with certificates and trophies.

Former Deputy Lok Sabha speaker Shri Charanjit Singh Atwal was the chief guest in this event. Apart from him, Shri Ramdas Athavale, Minister of Social Welfare, Government of India and Mrs. Sumitra Valmiki, Rajya Sabha MP were also invited.

In his speech, Shri Charanjit Singh Atwal said that we need Dr. Bharat Ratna, the architect of the Constitution. It is necessary to progress following the path shown by Bhimrao Ambedkar. Baba Saheb Ambedkar gave a basic mantra Educate, Agitate and Organize

Many dignitaries were present in this program including Mr. Raja Balmiki, National General Secretary of 5S Foundation, Mr. Harish Revadikar, National Treasurer and Mr. Lokesh Bainiwal, Delhi State President, Mr. Jagdish Bahnwal etc.

Journalist Sitaram Mewati on receiving the award said that “I am very happy to receive this honour. All this is the blessing of my parents due to which I have received this honour. This is just an amazing moment and one of the most important scenes of my professional career. I am very thankful to 5 S Group for choosing me for this honour. I feel really honoured to be on the right path. I hope that I will continue to excel in my journalism journey in the future as well.
