In the glitzy world of showbiz, actress Mehnaaz Maan stands out not just for her talent but for the incredible passion that fuels her journey. Best known for her impactful portrayal of Chidi in the recently released film “Chidiyan Da Chamba,” Mehnaaz’s path to success is a testament to her early love for acting.
In her own words, Mehnaaz Maan reflects on her journey, “After school, I used to accompany mom to her theatre rehearsals. Her journey began at the tender age of 7 when she stepped into the world of English theatre alongside maestro Zubin Mehta in Chandigarh. The turning point came at 8 when Mehnaaz auditioned for “India’s Best Dramebaaz.” Despite being just a child, her dedication and skill shone, earning her the title of 3rd runner up among contestants from across India.
“I was offered several roles, but my mom always guided me to be choosy in roles and do quality work rather than quantity,” shares Mehnaaz, highlighting the importance of discernment in her career choices. Balancing studies with work, she made her mark in Mumbai with lead roles in serials like “Ek Mutthi Aasmaan” and “Meri Awaaz hi Pehchaan Hai.” The actress also showcased her versatility in a TATA SKY TVC and compelling short films like “DHUND,” produced by Large Short Films.
Returning to Chandigarh, Mehnaaz continued her theatrical pursuits while simultaneously auditioning for various projects. She took on the lead role in a Punjabi web series, captivating audiences with a commendable storyline. “Chidiyan Da Chamba” marked her entry into films, a significant milestone in her burgeoning career.
“As an artist, I believe in continuous growth. Now, I am working on myself for the upcoming projects,” reveals Mehnaaz, emphasizing her commitment to self-improvement. Attending workshops in Mumbai and Chandigarh, including those with MCCC, she honed her craft, embodying the spirit of a true artist.
