Executive Chef turned F&B Director: Ranjan Rajani has been elevated as Director F&B at Sahara Star Hotel

Culinary Genius, Ranjan Rajani is elevated as new Food & Beverage Director at Sahara Star Hotel, Mumbai. Prior to his elevation, he was working as Executive Chef at the same property.

A proactive and guest centric individual with over 2 decades of experience within Kitchen and Food and Beverage, Ranjan will be in charge of culinary offerings and beverages served in Lobby Lounge, Earth Plate, Mabruk restaurant, Namak Restaurant, Fumi Restaurant, In Room dining and large banquets in his new leadership role.

Ranjan did his primary education from District School of Ranchi, Capital of East Indian state Jharkhand. He completed his catering education from IHM Bhopal. He is the first person from his family to join the hospitality industry.

Ranjan is no stranger to Mumbai’s Culinary scene and brings critically acclaimed skills to Sahara Star. Ranjan brings over his profound passion for cooking together with over two decades of expertise in several hotels like Oberoi, Marriott and Grand Hyatt Mumbai.

His strong leadership quality and emphasis on the importance of teamwork, allows him to head his team of chefs of restaurants of diverse cuisines at the prestigious hotel.

Gratitude: Commenting on his appointment, Ranjan said: “I feel very honoured and hugely excited to become Director of Food & Beverage at Sahara Star. I am thankful to Sahara Management and Salil Fadnis- General Manager, for having confidence in me for this coveted position. Mr. Salil, himself being a former Executive Chef of this hotel, he always encouraged me to think out of the box. I am proud that I have such a great leader to guide me and a wonderful team associated with me”.
