Bangladesh Youth Delegation Meets Governor of Maharashtra

A delegation of youth, consisting 100 members met Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on March 1st, 2024. These youths were the delegation of Bangladesh visiting India under the International Youth Exchange Programme.

The visit of the Bangladesh Youth Delegation was organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India with a view to promote friendship, understanding and goodwill among the people of the two countries.

It may be noted that India has had friendly relations with Bangladesh since the liberation struggle of Bangladesh and these relations have stood the test of time. Both countries have emerged as young nations and Bangladesh, like India, has made remarkable progress in recent times. The Governor said that if student exchange, faculty exchange and cultural cooperation between the universities of Bangladesh and Maharashtra increase, it will benefit both the countries.

Rajiv Jain, Political Representative of the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh, Agam Mittal, Naushad Alam, Sabir Mondal from the Ministry of Youth Affairs, representatives of Bangladesh Delegation Sandeep Kumar Ghosh and Rifat Ara Rifa were also present.
