A seasoned and well experienced airline stalwart Bezawit Tassew has taken over as Ethiopian Airlines Regional Director India Sub Continent. She brings with her decades of experience and world class practices. She has assumed her new position from April 1, 2024 and will be stationed in Mumbai.
Bezawit joined Ethiopian on August 26, 2002 and served the Airline in various positions in Marketing & Sales, Manager Customer Relations and Area Manager Rwanda, the position she was currently holding. She is a Bachelor of Arts Marketing Management Degree Holder. Her rich, varied and long-standing experience will be an opportunity towards elevating ET’s operation in the Indian Sub-Continent.
Ethiopian Airlines has witnessed rapid growth, network extension, upgrading level of services rendered to its valued customers, introduction of the New Generation Boeings and use of the state of art technology and programs that cope with the successive advancements in the airline industry. Currently, Ethiopian is the largest and fastest growing and the most profitable Airline in Africa, and one of few such airlines in the world. Ethiopian is also Winner of many prestigious awards. Her appointment in India has come at a very challenging time for the airline.
His Excellency Demeke Atnafu Ambulo, Ambassador to Ethiopia in India speaking to Mumbai Messenger Newspaper said “Ethiopian Airlines is one of the oldest airlines flying from India. I am happy to know about the appointment of Bezawit Tassew as Ethiopian’s Regional Director India Sub Continent. Indeed, it’s a very challenging job but she has a diverse exposure in the field of aviation industry and she is one of the well experienced aviation executives and knows inside out of airlines business. India is a big market for all airlines operating from India, I am sure, in her new role as RD, she will do wonders to generate good revenue and will take Ethiopian to the next level”.
