The Hospitality Purchasing Manager’s Forum (HPMF) is a pioneering consortium representing purchasing managers from the hospitality industry, including star hotels, catering companies, standalone restaurant chains, retail chains, and airlines. HPMF aims to provide an unparalleled platform for buyers in the hospitality sector, focusing on key areas such as training and development of procurement professionals, consolidated procurement, industry product standardization, volume discounts, professionalism in purchasing processes, development of potential vendors, green initiatives, and corporate social responsibility.
Founded in 2010, HPMF has grown into a global organization with over 6000 members from the hospitality purchasing fraternity. It boasts regional chapters across India. Internationally, HPMF has established chapters in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Middle East, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and UK.
HPMF will celebrate its 14th anniversary along with its annual Convention and Awards from September 26th to 29th, 2024. The 2019 event in Cochin, in particular, was a standout, drawing over 350 members, press, and corporate leaders. This year, HPMF has chosen Lucknow and Ayodhya Dham as the event venues. The theme centers on a unique combination of business and cultural exploration, highlighting the rich heritage and timeless culture of the city of Shri Ram and the famous Nawabi “Tehzeeb.”
Dr. Nitin Shankar Nagrale, Founder and General Secretary of HPMF, shared, “Delegates and participants will embark on a magical journey through the life of Parampurush Shri Ram and the rich heritage of Awadh. The event will feature cultural shows, exquisite cuisine, visits to historical sites, and displays of ancient crafts. Alongside these cultural experiences, there will be intense discussions, presentations from industry experts, and speeches by highly acclaimed corporate leaders.” The event will also feature B2B meetings, which have become a hallmark of the HPMF convention, with over 40 vendors expected to attend. These meetings facilitate networking and business opportunities among attendees.
The annual Procurement Excellence Awards, first introduced in 2012, will be a highlight of the event. These awards, now in their 12th year, are highly anticipated by delegates and industry vendors. This year, HPMF will also recognize vendors for their significant contributions to the hospitality industry and the procurement fraternity. The HPMF convention promises to be a memorable event, blending business acumen with cultural richness, and celebrating the achievements and contributions of professionals and vendors in the hospitality procurement industry.
